Derek Szeto is founder and general manager of RedFlagDeals.com, Canada’s largest bargain-shopping community. The site was launched in November 2000 to address the lack of online shopping information available to Canadians. RedFlagDeals.com currently receives over 1.5 million monthly unique visitors every month. According to Alexa.com, RedFlagDeals.com is one of the 100 most popular websites in Canada.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and was an Ontario Finalist for the 2007 Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Derek and RedFlagDeals.com have been featured in major broadcast media and print publications including City TV, CBC Newsworld, The Globe and Mail, Maclean’s Magazine, The National Post, and Chatelaine.

RedFlagDeals.com was acquired by Yellow Pages Group in February of 2010 and has since launched Yellow Pages Group’s foray into group buying at Deal of the Day et Promo du jour.
