Douglas (Doug) Clarke was appointed Senior Vice President - Sales in June 2010. In this role, Mr. Clarke is responsible for overseeing revenue generation in all Yellow Media Inc. entities, including Yellow Pages Group, Mediative and Wall2Wall Media. His responsibilities also include the evolution of the sales training program, as well as the reengineering of customer service processes.
Mr. Clarke began his career in the advertising directory business when he joined Tele-Direct, a Yellow Pages Group predecessor company, in 1991. He held various sales management and marketing positions which eventually led him to the Director of Sales role launching the Bell Zinc portal, an online sales and customer service centre targeted at the SME market. In 2002, Mr. Clarke was appointed Director of Sales of Yellow Pages Group’s Ontario Elite Sales Channel.
From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Clarke held the position of President at Trader Corporation, a Canadian leader in print and online vertical media. During his tenure as President, Mr. Clarke successfully led the transformation of a predominantly print business into a digital solutions and media business, until the divestiture of Trader Corporation to Apax Partners in July 2011.
Mr. Clarke is known for his competitive nature and ability to build and develop strong management teams.
Mr. Clarke is a graduate of St. Michael’s College School in Toronto and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Colorado College. He lives in Toronto with his wife Leigh-Ann and their two children.
